Acceptance and who may use Salus

These Terms govern your use of Salus at salusdaily.com. By using Salus, you agree to these Terms. Salus is used by minors. Where a user is a minor, a parent or guardian, or the school in a school deployment, consents on the minor's behalf, and the minor is not personally entering a binding contract. Account creation includes an age check. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use Salus.

What Salus is, and what it is not

Salus is a wellness and self-awareness tool. It is NOT a medical device, and it does NOT provide medical, psychological, or clinical advice. It does NOT diagnose any condition. It is NOT a substitute for a physician, therapist, counselor, or athletic trainer. It is NOT a crisis-detection, monitoring, alerting, or safety-intervention service. The injury trajectory feature is a pattern projection based on your own entries, not a medical prediction of outcomes. Screeners in Salus are informational and are not clinical diagnostic instruments.

Emergency and crisis disclaimer

Salus does not monitor for emergencies or crises, and it does not alert anyone on your behalf. If you or someone else may be in danger or in crisis, contact the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988, or call 911 immediately. Do not rely on Salus for urgent or emergency needs.

Accounts and roles

Salus offers member, coach, guardian, and clinician accounts, and each sees a different slice of data according to the permission model. You agree to provide accurate information, to keep your login credentials secure, and to use one account per person. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.

Consent for sensitive data

Use of the wellness and mental-health screeners requires the applicable parental or school consent, consistent with the Protection of Pupil Rights Amendment and Arizona Revised Statutes section 15-117. Connecting a wearable device and importing biometric data requires the applicable written consent, consistent with Arizona's biometric rule for schools. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse Salus. You will not attempt to access another person's data, scrape the service, reverse engineer it, or upload another person's personal data without authorization. You will not use Salus in any way that violates the law or these Terms.

Your content and data

You retain ownership of the information you enter into Salus. You grant Salus a limited license to process that information solely to provide the service to you. For school deployments, the school's data agreement governs education records, and the school controls those records.

Third-party services

Salus relies on Oura for wearable data if you connect a device, and on Supabase, OpenAI, Vercel, and our email provider to operate the service. The terms of those providers may also apply to the portions of the service they provide.

Disclaimers of warranty

Salus is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. To the extent permitted by law, Salus makes no warranty about the accuracy of insights, uptime, or fitness for a particular purpose. Wellness insights are informational and may not be accurate for your specific situation.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Salus and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Termination

You may stop using Salus and delete your account at any time. Salus may suspend or end access if these Terms are violated. On termination, your data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy, and for school deployments, according to the school data agreement.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Arizona.

Changes to these Terms

Salus will provide notice before a material change to these Terms takes effect, consistent with the notice commitment in the Privacy Policy.
