Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2026

Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Salus in any way, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you should use Salus with the awareness and involvement of a parent or guardian.

What Salus Is

Salus is a general wellness, performance, and monitoring platform. It is not a medical service or medical device, and nothing on this platform constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or a substitute for professional healthcare. Salus does not provide physical therapy, nutrition therapy, mental health treatment, or any other licensed healthcare service. Features that support care teams, including monitoring dashboards, care plans, and screeners, are tools to assist communication and awareness, and always require a qualified human to interpret and act on them.

Not for Emergencies

Salus is not an emergency service and is not monitored in real time. If you are experiencing a medical or mental-health emergency, or are thinking about harming yourself, do not rely on Salus. Call or text 988 (the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline in the US), call 911, or contact your local emergency services immediately. Safety flags and alerts within Salus are best-effort features and may be delayed or missed; they do not guarantee that anyone will see or respond to your entry.

Account Types and Roles

Salus offers athlete, coach, parent or guardian, and clinician accounts. Each role carries responsibilities. Coaches, guardians, and clinicians agree to use any data they can access only for the legitimate purpose of supporting the connected individual, to respect that individual's privacy, and to comply with any laws and professional obligations that apply to them. Misusing another person's data, or accessing data you have no legitimate relationship to, is a violation of these Terms.

Connections and Consent

Connections between accounts (an athlete joining a coach's team, a guardian linking to a child, a patient enrolling with a practice) require action by the individual whose data is shared, and can be revoked by them. You agree not to pressure, deceive, or coerce anyone into granting you access, and not to impersonate a coach, guardian, or clinician. If you connect to a minor as a guardian or clinician, you confirm you have a genuine caregiving or care relationship with that minor.

Clinician and Practice Use

If you use Salus as a clinician or on behalf of a practice, you represent that you are authorized to do so and that you will comply with all laws and professional and ethical duties applicable to you, including those governing patient privacy and records. Salus is not a covered entity and, absent a separate written agreement with Salus, is not acting as your business associate. You are responsible for determining whether your use of Salus is appropriate for your setting, and for any clinical decisions you make. Billing-support features (such as monitoring-time tracking) are informational only; you are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of any claims you submit.

Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. You must provide accurate information during registration. You may not share your account with others. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the service, attempt to access other users' data, reverse-engineer any part of the platform, use the service to transmit harmful or illegal content, or use the recommendations in a way that could cause harm to yourself or others.

AI-Generated Content

Recommendations and interpretations generated by Salus, including daily plans and natural-language check-in parsing, are produced by an AI system and are not reviewed by licensed healthcare professionals before delivery. They are provided for general informational purposes only, may be imperfect, and should be used at your own judgment and risk. Always consult a licensed professional for any health concern.

Intellectual Property

The Salus brand, logo, software, and all platform content are owned by Salus Health & Wellness. You retain ownership of your personal data. You grant Salus a limited license to use your data to operate the service.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time. Salus reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, including any account that misuses access to another person's data. Upon termination, your data is deleted within 30 days.

Limitation of Liability

Salus is provided as-is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Salus Health & Wellness disclaims all warranties and is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including any decision made or not made based on information shown in Salus. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Salus after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify users of material changes by email.
